The vendor replaced the CPU boards in our Sysmex 1500 analyzer to correct display issues. Now host query is failing on an intermittent basis. About 20% of the queries fail. Sysmex recommended we implement RTS/CTS on our terminal server and the instrument. The interface was not designed to do this per Cerner support and our attempt to do it have shown the interface shuts down frequently with it enabled on the terminal server, both with the instrument running and when the instrument is  Read more...powered off. It shuts down even when not testing is being done and no communication is occurring. It shuts down when running specimens as well.
